Evening Star are an exciting and experienced help me. They can perform as a duo and can add up to three additional musicians to fit exactly your tastes and budget.
The basic duo features both male and female lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and alto saxophone. Add to this any combination of a truly fabulous second saxophonist playing both alto & tenor sax, a fabulous guitarist or another saxophonist and you have a band specifically designed for your taste and budget They have worked for some of the best clients and venues and always impress with their sound and their professionalism. Evening Star are a very visual act, guaranteed to create a party atmosphere. This is a small wedding band that packs a big punch.
The Evening Star set list contains hits from the 60s right through to
up-to-the-minute chart material and is designed to suit all tastes. It
includes artist such as Madonna, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Abba, The
Monkees, Tina Turner, Chic and Gloria Estefan to name but a few.
Special songs can be learned in advance (with sufficient notice) and all
material is performed using the latest sound and lighting technology.
Setting Up
Because Evening Star do not carry large amounts of equipment, they are able to set up ion a relatively small area (normally 4x2 metres for the duo/trio and 6x3 metres for the 4/5 piece). The lighting equipment is usually sited in front of or to one side of the stage approximately six metres away.
The musicians would request a secure changing room near the performance area or stage and that advance notice is given of any sound level or smoke effects limitations. They can usually be set up and sound checked within the hour providing there is good access for unloading.
The backing tracks used by the Evening Star are all generated in their own studio and are carefully arranged and produced to deliver a high quality and powerful sound without high volume. This enables them to perform at venues large and small, at events from intimate parties to large weddings or corporate evenings.
